The Tabah Foundation

Kalam Research & Media (KRM) has expanded its existing long-term close cooperation with the Tabah Foundation, founded and headed by one of the foremost Muslim personalities in the world, Habib Ali Al-Jifri. The Tabah Foundation is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and is a leading Islamic institution specializing in academic research, media and socio-economic projects across the world.

The KRM and Tabah teams have worked intensely together to make the united voice of senior Muslim scholars heard in the condemnation of recent terrorist attacks in Moscow, Dagestan and Iraq. The Tabah Foundation rapidly gathered support for the statement from leading scholars, and KRM worked on liaison with the press. The result was wide news coverage with Reuters and Moscow Times covering the statement in their front page headlines. Muslim scholars have always condemned terrorism but their voices were often drowned by the wider exposure given to negative events.

Further academic and strategic cooperation will be developed between both institutions, particularly as Dr Nayed is a member of Tabah's academic steering committee.

  • Condemnation on Bombing of Coptic Church

Kalam Research and Media (KRM) expresses its full disgust and condemnation at the tragic attack on the innocent worshippers in the Saints Church in Alexandria, Egypt, on New Year's Eve. Such barbaric acts go against all the sacred religious, spiritual and legal traditions of the Abrahamic faiths. All men and women of faith need to stand firmly against such hatred and cowardly acts that aim at nothing but the igniting of sectarian and religious hatred. We pray for the families of those murdered and injured, and we urge Muslims and Christians and their respective institutions of authority in civil society to work in partnership and with renewed commitment to maintain and strengthen national and religious unity.    Statements from Muslim and Christian Leaders 1.
